  • Dimensions: 30amp 7.5" L x 3-1/2" W x 2H
  • DO NOT USE A FRAME GROUND!
  • Note:Generally it takes 8 amps to run head and tail lights, operating more accessories requires a larger amp reducer or converter
  • 12 Volt 30 Amp DC Output

Caution: Before starting this project remove the vehicles (+) positive and (-) negative connections from the battery pack. If your vehicle has a run/tow maintenance switch, place the switch in the "TOW" maintenance position. Please read through instructions carefully.
  • Step 1: Locate an open area of the golf car chassis for installation that allows easy access and good ventilation. Clean area well. Position the reducer and mark the mounting holes. Drill holes and bolt the reducer into place.
  • Step 2: Green 16 inch lead from voltage reducer: Connect the green wire from the voltage reducer to the +12 volt positive lead from your accessory. If your accessory/accessories are not fuse protected, install a fuse holder (ACC-0036) or fuse block (ACC-0034) with the proper amp rated fuse/fuses between your accessories +12 positive lead and the voltage reducers green +12 positive feed.
  • Step 3: Black 16 inch lead from the voltage reducer: Connect the 16" black wire from the voltage reducer to the 12 volt (-) negative side of your installed accessory.
  • Step 4: Red 40 inch lead from the voltage reducer: Connect the 40" red wire from the voltage reducer to the 24-64 volt (+) positive side of the battery pack. It is common to get a large spark when connecting this wire to the battery pack. The spark you get during connection is no cause for alarm, the capacitor energizing creates this spark standard during installation.
  • Step 5: Black 40 inch lead from the voltage reducer: Connect the 40" black wire from the voltage reducer to the 24-64 volt (-) negative side of the battery pack.
  • Step 6: Yellow 44 inch lead from the voltage reducer: Connect the 44" yellow lead from the voltage reducer to the terminal on the vehicles key switch that is energized when the vehicle is in the on/run position. This terminal should not be energized while the key switch is in the "OFF" position.
  • Step 7: Connect the vehicles (+) positive and (-) negative connections to the battery pack and place the Run/Tow maintenance switch back to the "RUN" position. Make sure all battery pack connections are tightened and secure. Turn vehicles key switch to the "ON" position and turn on accessory/accessories to test your new voltage reducer.
  • This completes installation of your VOLT-2001 voltage reducer. Please enjoy safely.
