Most golf cart tires are designed to run only on courses, so roundness is not an issue. Typically, they are 1/4" out of round. On a course, that's not an issue. But I live in a golf cart community where we also drive on paved roads. Out of round tires make the ride very bumpy.
These tires are made for pavement (DOT rated) so they are ROUND. They offer a smooth, quiet ride, which is what I was after.
The second thing I noticed on the first turn is that steering is quicker. If you are as old as I am, you remember when you put your first pair of radial tires on a car that came with bias ply tires. There is less side-wall flex so steering is a bit more precise.
Be aware, however, that the steel belts make the tires heavier than standard cart tires, so acceleration isn't as good. In other words, it will take just a little bit longer to get up to speed from a standing start. It isn't much, but you will notice the difference.
I just put them on, so I don't have any feedback on tread wear. But I suspect that they will last longer than standard tires.
Overall, I'm pleased with these tires. I just hope that they are still available when I need a new set!
